Big Rush Cast

Big Rush Cast surprised me. On paper it's an arcade game about fishing, but the pace is closer to a reflex challenge. You cast with a swipe, aim while the line is in the air, and reel in with quick taps before your catch wriggles free. The whole loop takes a few seconds and then it starts again, faster.

The controls are the best part. Everything happens with one thumb, and after a couple of rounds the timing sits in your muscle memory. The game keeps throwing new patterns at you — currents that push your line, targets that dart in odd directions, weather that changes visibility. It never felt cheap, just demanding.

What I liked most is how readable it stays even when the screen fills up. Colours and sizes tell you what's worth chasing without a tutorial holding your hand. It's a great pick-up-for-five-minutes game that quietly turns into forty.
